Tonight is the first night of Chanukah,
Thurs is the arrival of the Winter Solstice/Yule here
& the arrival of the Summer Solstice for
Our friends on the other side of the equator.
Christmas arrives on the Eve Dec 24th,
The Birth of Heru- Son of Isis arrives Dec 25th...
All celebrations of the light.
For the Hebrews, The miracle of the oil burned for 8 days.
The Solstice is the celebration of the Sun,
Christmas for Christians honors the birth of the Son ;
As does The Feast of Heru for the Egyptians...
All these ancient people honored the light,
For the light meant hope then
As it does today.
May the Sun/Son shine upon Your path,
May You always have Hope,
May We remember Our commonality & cast aside Our differences.

Thanksgiving - Honoring the land

I'm reposting a piece I wrote last Year...

As a child in school I remember hearing
of the pilgrims & the "first" Thanksgiving...
Over the years I have heard much debate
over the origins of Thanksgiving.
Now, I am no historian but some things I do know.
I know that however it began,
Thanksgiving was a celebration of the harvest.
A Thank You to Mother earth for Her bounty.
A Thank you to God/Spirit for providing
I know that George Washington first declared it
a day of Nationwide celebration.

This is His proclamation,
"recommend to the people of the United States
a day of public thanksgiving and prayer,
to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts
the many and signal favors of Almighty God,
especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably
to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:"

Today there is separation of church & state.
Today we complicate things.
Today we often forget the roots of Thanksgiving.
For those early people, whether Pilgrim,
Native American, Canadian or Spaniard ;
they were grateful.
They honored the land, first and foremost.
They honored "God"
For providing through the Winter season,
For giving them a place to practice their religious beliefs.

For Me,
I am Grateful each day for the gifts of The Great Mother
I am Grateful for the land I walk upon
I am grateful that I can wear my pentacle publicly
& not fear religious persecution.
Yes, we as a people have far to go
But today, I am grateful.
I offer these words...
This Thanksgiving may we remember this truth

My offering consists ofIncense, preferably Lavender.
A small dish of Herbs including Mugwort & Patchouli.

A plate of the following:
1 Apple sliced in half horizontally (pentacle showing)
Drizzle the following over the Apple -
Cinnamon
Honey
Raisins
Saffron
A small cup of Wine or red Grape Juice

Yes, it is similar to the ingredients of Kyphi.
For me Hecate and Isis are one and the same,
so what could be more fitting?
Give Thanks, say your prayer or petition and walk away

Season of The Witch, Season of Change

Last week I spent some time back home
visiting with my mother.
I am settled in my new home now.
I have my routines, life has fallen into
new patterns. At some point during the visit
Mom asked Her question & I was reminded of
that no matter where I am, no matter how things
move foward,
I shall always miss "home"
So I am reposting,
For Myself & for others facing changes this season

Yesterday My Mom called.
After chatting a bit, Mom asked
"So are you putting up your altar?"
"Yes" I assured Her.
"What about Grandma's picture,it's here you know".
She proceeded to remind me of an
Uncle, a few cousins,
all of whom should be placed on the altar.
Not typical conversationfor the average family.

Mom's concerns come from my relocation.
This year I am unable to make
the commute home for Halloween/Samhain.
It will be difficult for both Mom & Myself.
Like any other family,
We gather together & celebrate.
We honor the seasons,
We honor ancestors,
We honor The Goddess.
We have our rituals, our meals & our magick.
This year there will be new ritual,
New faces at my table.
New friends sharing in the celebration.

My altar will reflect these changes.
While I am saddened by this change,
I acknowledge this is a season of change.
The wise know that change is inevitable.
My Lady will guide me through the changes.
The Season of the Witch is not always gentle.
The Season of the Witch,
Is one of faith,
for we stand at the crossroads
knowing we must not look back
The Season of the Witch
Is a time of Hope & Dreams
We give ourselves over to The Goddess,

Unpacking My Work bag tonight,
I came across a delightful surprise -
2 beautiful pieces of Pyrite were tucked away.
I had forgotten about this purchase.
The Pyrite were lovely rounds the shop owner
had brought back from a gem show.

One, completely round with small hidden
crevices, sparkling as if dusted by fairies,
The other a delightful little gem,
reminded me of a small geode.
The top missing, but hidden within
cubes of Pyrite glistening.
It was my favorite piece.
I brought My treasures to my partner.
Here, one is for You.
"What is It?" Pyrite.
"Isn't that Fools gold?" Yes.
"Why would I want that?, I wouldn't use it
to bring anything - it's not the Real thing"
I thought they were nice,
You don't have to use it, but Okay.
I walked away.
He called Me back.
"I'll take it, Thank You".
He reached in & took My favorite.
As He walked away, He said -
"I left You the nice one, this one is broken!"
Broken? It's so pretty..
We both laughed & He took the other piece.

Perception.
Much of magick is based upon it.
In some traditions,
Those pieces of Pyrite represent wealth,
Fortune.
One Practitioner may use Pyrite to attract abundance,
While another may use to represent false hopes...
It's all a matter of perception.

Same holds true for Spirit.
Each of us sees Spirit in a way
We understand.
And in this understanding,
We can connect with Spirit.

I Know Her.
The Great Mother.
The Goddess.
For another Spirit may be seen as Buddha,
Maybe Mary or Jesus.
Kwan Yin.
It all comes down to Perception.
Perhaps the secret to peace comes in
The Compassion of perception.

The Full Moon in Pisces & The lesson of Compassion

is one of the more adaptable of the signs.
You could say that Pisces
can be a bit of a "cold" fish -
Yet one of the Great gifts Pisces has to share
Is the gift of compassion.
We can all use compassion,
Especially these days.

Season of Change

Change
It's all around.
The wheel of the year moves
towards the equinox
Suddenly everyone is speaking of change.
You can smell it in the Air.
You can feel the change in the weather.
You can see it in the night sky.
You can even hear it if you listen
to the sounds of nature.
Suddenly everyone is aware of the shift.
But the truth is,
It's been happening all along.

The days become shorter
minutes at a time.
We never notice,
Until we "wake up" and realize
it's no longer light at 8PM.
It's like that in Our lives.
Most changes are gradual.
We don't take notice until -
The relationship is ending,
Or the Job.
There are the sudden shifts.
Abrupt.
Shocking.
Sometimes devastating.
The others,
We had forewarning,
We just didn't choose to see.

Life, like nature;
Gives us signs.
It's up to us to see them.
It's up to us to embrace them.
It's like a pond of water,
in the middle of summer.
If the Water doesn't flow,
If Rain doesn't come,
It becomes stagnant.
Sometimes We need that rain,
To get things moving again.
Open Your eyes to the changes all around.
Embrace them.
Learn from Mother earth.

Removing, Reversing, Unblocking

The Waning Moon is here &
You want to get "rid off" something.
Perhaps you have a very large debt &
You can't make headway..
Maybe there's a co worker making life at the job
miserable.

Is there an exam you need to pass,
but seem unable?
A move up the corporate ladder,
but something always gets in the way.
These are blocks..

You're having a bad run of luck.
There's a lot of arguing or jealousy.
That creates negativity.
These things need to be reversed.

What am I getting at here?
Candles.
Removing, Reversing, Unblocking.
There is much confusion on this subject.

Some time ago,
I put some unblocking candles in My Etsy shop..
The immediate response - "You know the correct way
to make these candles"..
I still hear it today when I make an unblocking or
Road Opening Candle.
But this is NOT about tooting My own horn.
This is explaining a difference that many don't understand.

Unblocking Candles
Should be black on the top.
The bottom half could be a color representing
the purpose - Red, to unblock matters of the heart;
Green for financial matters.

Abre Camino, Or Road Opener candles are Black & Red.
The colors of an Abre Camino candle represent Elegua or Lucero,
Opener of roads.
In the traditions of Santeria & Palo
Elegua or Lucero is called on for assistance in opening the path,
Getting things moving.

Now We come to reversing candles..
This is where the confusion sets in.
Reversing candles.
In the traditional afro/cuban fashion
These candles are Red on top (or green) and Black on the bottom.
The problem is people making the candles don't always
understand the "Whys".
People using the candles often don't understand the "Hows".
The purpose of a "reversing" candle IS to reverse or change
what has been done..
So here comes the "Secret" most people don't understand.
We reverse the candle.
That's right.
We flip it over, cut it so the wick is exposed & burn it.
Even the ones in glass jars..

The Magick of The Moon

I'm asked the following quite often...
How many days does the Full Moon last?
OR
How many days after the Full Moon
Can I still "Bring"?
There are many variations on the question,
But the point is always the same.

Witchcraft or "The Craft of the Wise"
Is a nature based tradition.
We follow the cycles of nature.
We learn from it.
We learn from Her.
Now there is an adage in magick,
When working with the Moon -
3 days before, 3 days after.
Is this correct?
Partially.
When the Moon is New, yes.
It continues to become visible to the eye.
We work the magick of bringing.
The magick of making Our dreams, desires,
goals, visible.
This culminates with the Full moon.
The energy of the Moon is at it's peak.
BUT
Once the moon is "Full",
It begins a decline in visibility.
It may appear to the human eye
As full, But it IS on the wane.
The Earth does not stand still,
Nature does not stop,
Nor does it put everything on hold for 3 days.
Because We don't "see' the shift does not
mean it is not occurring.
3 days before / 3 days after?
When it comes to the Full Moon,
All bets are off.
The answer to this question lies
In the difference between believing & knowing.
That is a truth of The Craft of the Wise...

Before The Summer Solstice,
I asked My Sisters to share a favorite Makeup
or Beauty tip.
After several puzzled looks,Someone said,
"Aren't We supposed to be learning about the Goddess"
Another remarked How we should not support
A system which determines a Woman's value
on the basis of looks.
All good points, BUT -
Beauty, Glamour, Makeup
Play a part in Ritual, Spirituality.
In My tradition,
We bathe in scented Waters,
Anoint feet with perfumes.
Eyes are rimmed with powders,
Beautiful silken gowns,Fit for a Goddess are worn.

Many aspects of the Goddess
Honor Beauty, Glamour.
We pay respects with offerings of perfume,
Mirrors, Gold, Silver, even Silk.
Aphrodite
Bast
Isis
Lakshmi
Oshun
Among their many attributes,
Beauty. Glamour.

Beauty,
By Goddess standards does not mean
One must be a size 4 or have perfect skin.
It does mean Honoring
Who you are.
It means paying reverence to the Great Mother.
We are her Daughters
So, put on a silken robe or gown
Wash your hair with lavender scented water
Embrace All things Beautiful.
Beauty, is our birthright

The Hierophant, A Matter of Tradition

Oops, This is who I was?
The exercise brought to light many issues

I had been contemplating.
You see, I am a traditionalist.

The Spiritual Path I follow
is rich in traditions.
Goddess, Earth Centered and
Yes, traditional.

My partner, A practicing Palero
Also follows a very traditional path.

Pagan paths are rich in traditions.
Ancient traditions such as the Druids,
Isian Mystery traditions ,
Palo Mayombe,
Rosicrucians, etc -
to newer paths, such as Gerald Gardner's Wicca ;
All embrace tradition.

Which brings to light an issue.
Today, Many define Paganism as
"Do whatever".

What is the actual definition of Paganism?
There is no one true answer,
other than perhaps a nature based
Spirituality.
So today,
Being a Pagan means any number of things.
"Eclectic pagan" is a favorite term.
I do what I like, take a bit of this,

Add a dash of that & I'm a pagan.
One from column A, 2 from column B
This is not a Chinese restaurant.

Paganism may not be defined by the more

conventional religions,

but pagan religions or practices

do have their traditions.

Many elders in the pagan community

Are taking a step back.

Waiting for the dust to settle.

All the while

following Our Traditions
Sharing what is to be shared among initiates.
Respecting & learning from other traditions
Always honoring Our own.

Yes, We get a "feel" for something.
Yes, We should add our own spin & make it

uniquely ours,
But we must also honor tradition.

I am the Hierophant.

Now the magician at first glance doesn't appear to be a

block.
The magician can make manifest whatever they choose to.
Or do they?

The magician is full of Gemini energy.

Gemini, with it's whirlwind of activity isn't

known for it's staying power.
Gemini can do a dozen different things.
Gemini has a marvelous capacity for learning...

There's one in every Italian Family...We love that word..
"Hey, That Guys a real Miserabe"...We joke about it,
But the fact is - No one likes a Miserabe.

We all know a Miserabe.
They're the person constantly complaining.
They always have some ache or pain...
They hate their job. They hate their family.
They talk about people, in a negative manner.
A Miserabe is lacking.
They don't have abundance.
Abundance.
Means many things, comes in many forms...
Abundance of Health.
Abundance of Joy, Love,
Yes, even finances...
If the Miserabe learned to see the abundance in their life,
Life would change for them.
For Like attracts like.
We are not all meant to be rich,
We may not all find that "perfect" love,
Perhaps We may not land that idyllic job,
But Each One of Us is meant to have an Abundance of Joy,
You just have to figure out "where" to look.

The Sun is still there but no longer

It is "blocked"
What does that mean in magickal terms?
What it doesn't mean,
It is NOT a bad omen.
It is part of the natural cycle.
Nothing out of the ordinary.
For some, it represents a balance
between the Dark & the light..But is the moon really Dark?
Doesn't Lady Moon illuminate the night sky?
Doesn't the Moon illuminate us, with Her wisdom?
Now the Sun is Magick itself.
Many practitioners work with the Sun's energy,
In a manner similar to the Moon.
In simple terms,The Sunrise equals beginnings...
The Sunset is when we remove obstacles.
In the Eastern US, this eclipse occurs at 5:02 PM -
The time of late afternoon Sun.

Tuesday, The Full moon arrives in Sagittarius.

More directly, belief in self.

The response surprised me.
"No", "Not really"...
I had not expected that.

I thought about the responses a bit
& then it came to me!

Chiron, The wounded healer.It made perfect sense.
Within each of us are those

Yesterday while spending time at My Altar

The message -
"Unexpected shift in political affairs"

Ok. I guessed some things were about to change.
I didn't expect the very "unexpected"news we received
last night.
My first response was shock -
Only because it came so swiftly after I received
the message.
Then I cried.
I cried because I know She is with us.
I cried because She is calling out.
She is rising.
Many choose not to see.
Many will never see,
Nor will they acknowledge.

Whether you see Her as Isis, Gaia or Mary
Does not matter.
The Great Mother is rising.
Her daughters know.

I am honored to be Her voice.
It is time for Her daughters to come together.
To work together.
To rise up proudly & acknowledge Her.

Sacrifice & Offering.

Do you know the difference?

A few nights ago,

While sitting before Her altar

I heard a message.
Not quite sure what to make of it,

Nonetheless I posted it.

A few days after the post,

A young women, who I know only in passing;

mentioned to me Her prowess in sacrificing

"Chickens" for Her Spiritual path.

In Our conversation,

She expressed how great was her sacrifice

& how she would be "blessed".

She mentioned how others do not understand.

How the animal was making this sacrifice

for Her Goddess.

I remembered My Lady's words.

So I asked,

"Do you know the difference between offering

& sacrifice?"

Today many people do not.

It's easy to make an offering.

We give a gift to please & appease.

We give a gift so we may be granted a "boon".

We offer Fruits, Flowers, Crystals.

Even the sacrificial rites of certain traditions are

offerings.

Sacrifice is different.

Sacrifice takes work.

Sacrifice often comes upon us

Unexpectedly.

Sacrifice is giving of one's time.

Sacrifice is helping those unable to

help themselves.

Sacrifice is a test of character,

Strength.

Great Spiritual leaders have been so

because they sacrificed.

Mother Theresa

Gandhi

The Dalai lama

Others, All who have sacrificed

For their people

For a cause

For their God/Goddess/Spirit

Therein lies the difference.

Can we all be Great Heroes to the world?

No.

We can be heroes to those around us.

If you truly seek the greatness of spiritual reward

Then you must first understand sacrifice.

Talkin Crystals II - Fake, Baked & Dyed

I'm not a big fan of Citrine.
It's just one of those Stones that I'm not drawn to.
Not to long ago I came upon a piece I couldn't resist.
I had to hold it.
Couldn't put it down.
The piece came home with me.
My first intention was to place it in the "Wealth"
Corner of my home,
but it didn't seem right.
Couldn't figure why,
After all Citrine is a stone of wealth.
The Citrine found it's home upon
one of my altars, nestled among a collection of Amethyst.
Perhaps My lady had chosen it, and so it remained there.

One day while researching Crystals
I came across "Baked" Citrine.
What exactly is it? Amethyst.
Yes, You heard right.

Amethyst & Citrine are varieties of Quartz.
Citrine is a lemon color, often very pale.
But it is also found in a rich Brown variety.
Amethyst is purple.
They are very similar & both respond well
to heat treatments.
The heat enhances their natural color
in varying degrees and can, in the case of Amethyst -
Change the actual color.
Amethyst then "becomes" Citrine.
Why?
Besides enhancing the color for visual appeal,
There is an abundance of Amethyst
Especially in places such as Brazil.
The mystery was solved.
I love working with Amethyst.
Inadvertently I chose Amethyst.
The right crystal had found it's way to me,
But a lesson was learned.
There are many other enhanced Crystals &
Gemstones on the market.
Turquoise & "Green" Quartz among them.
Real Turquoise is hard to find & costly.
Often times what passes for Turquoise
is simply dyed Howlite.

Many times Shop owners themselves
are unaware.
Take the time to learn before you purchase.

Goddess of love & beauty.

harmony & peace.

Balance.
Libra strives for fairness

Peaceable co-existance.

Libra is very distinct from the other signs,
For Libra is the only sign NOT represented
by Life - Human or Animal.

Crystals have long been used by the ancients.
The Ancient civilizations of Egypt, Rome,

Some Stones were used for medicinal purposes.
Some, for Spiritual.
Some crystals were reserved for Royalty.

Native Americans refer to them as "Stone People".
They are the "Record keepers".
They are our teachers.
Our history, for They are Mother Earth Herself.
Generations have walked across Her.
The Blood & Spirit of ancestors is carried within

Lessons on the Spiritual Path

My Spiritual Path is an integral part of My life.
Listening to the lessons of Spirit is Important.
Understanding them are essential, both to my personal
development and my role as an Elder of my path.

I recently celebrated a special occasion.
The morning of the occasion, I awoke to a sumptuous
bouquet of roses.
The day was off to a Great start.
As the day progressed, My partner eluded
to a special surprise.
I began to think, to anticipate this surprise.
My mind became filled with thoughts of what it could be.
I waited patiently throughout the day but nothing.
That evening we went out for dinner.
Ah ha! Now I would receive it. I was excited but
Dinner came & went.
We had a pleasant dinner but nothing.

We returned home. He handed me a card.
It was beautiful & eloquent. Ok, I was impressed
but still waiting for the "surprise".
A short while later he comes in, beaming. Hands behind his back.
"Are you ready?" He's obviously proud, excited.
He pulls an envelope from behind his back. I open it....
It was a gift certificate. I was shocked.
Not the good kind of shocked.
I said nothing but My expression must have said plenty.
He grabbed it from My hand. "You don't like it!".
I blurted out, "WHY would you get me a gift certificate from the place I work???"
As you can surmise the evening went downhill from there.
Hurt feelings on both parts.

I headed to My Altar to meditate a bit.
I went off to bed crying. Not sleeping well,
I woke up. "We can only be disappointed when
We expect things from others"
Wow. I got the message. Simple & to the point.
I went to my altar & thanked Her for the message.
I understood.
The fault was not in my partner, nor in the gift.
The fault was in my expectations.
If I had no expectations, I would have found delight in
receiving a gift. I would have had the grace to understand
the joy we give another when we receive from the heart.

I am not perfect. I have many things still to learn.
But on this day, I have learned to "release" expectations.
This is a gift from My Lady.
May it carry me on My path.

"Competitiveness is Not a Part of Reiki"

One thing that can get in the way of developing
a spiritual attitude about your Reiki practice is fear
of competition.
This has caused more problems & created more
restrictions and negative energy in the Reiki community
than any other area of misunderstanding.
Lack is an illusion & this is especially true for Reiki!
There is a far greater need for healing on the planet
than Reiki practitioners who can provide it.
Fear of competition goes directly against
the nature of Reiki energy& because of this can
Repel people from you who would otherwise
be interested in receiving a treatment.
Reiki comes from unlimited supply & does not fear
competition.
People who do reiki together find that their Reiki
gets stronger as more people join the group.
If Reiki was competitive, then just the opposite would happen.
The nature of Reiki energy is one of cooperation.
It understands the concept that we are all one &
flows freely to anyone & everyone.
It works in harmony with all other forms of treatment.
It is clearly apparent, the wisdom of Reiki is to welcome
all & other practitionersas allies.
IF the spiritual purpose for your Reiki practice
Is to help others to heal the planet,
then you can only rejoice when you hear about another
practitioner in your area as they are helping
fulfill your purpose.
The more you can do this,
The more your practice will thrive.
Don't worry about taking clients away from other practitioners.

How do I begin this?
On March 2nd I made a decision to post a
message from Her.
Many layers to this message.
"The Floodgates are opening"
"Tell the people"
Myself and others hoped this message was one
of transformation, of hope...
On some levels it is.
For the people of the Middle East,
it represents change, hope
Sometimes transformation comes at a cost.

On another level
This message is literal.
Today, Great devastation has occured
The "floodgates" have opened.

On March 5th, I received another message,
"Many Deaths".
That was all...
Again, I wondered whether or not to post.
I chose to post on FB but not on My blog.
Myself & others hoped this was also a message
of transformation.. Change.

So Why receive these messages?
We are in a time of great transformation.
Like the Tower in tarot, sometimes destruction
must occur to make way for the new.
Perhaps We do not listen,
Perhaps We ignore the signs,
Perhaps we need to be shown more than a gentle message.

So Why receive the messages?
To know HER
To recognize Her
However One see's Spirit

Several weeks ago while sitting before My Altar,
I received a message.

Now for those who have followed My blog
You know I am a Devotee of Isis.

So the Altar I sat before was Her altar.

As I sat in this sacred space,
I began to "See" what at first appeared
to be temple walls.
I'm not sure if the vision appeared to be moving
Or I was moving closer,
But it changed.
It appeared to be a wall of rushing water.
A Dam I suppose.
Then I heard Her.
"The floodgates are opening" , "Tell the people"
I knew this was an important message.
I knew it was her.
I sat with it a short while, but
I kept hearing Her words.

I should have posted it to My blog.
I didn't.
I posted it on FB -
On My personal page
Not on IntuitiveGoddess.
I doubted Myself.
I never doubt Her.
I wasn't sure if I had gotten it right.
I wasn't sure if I was interpreting it correctly.
I was concerned that people reading
might think I was a bit of a kook.
Or just looking to publicize myself.
I did not post it where it should have gone.

It is not for me to Interpret Her message.
It is for me to deliver what has been told to me.
Regardless of what others may think.

The Dark Side of The Moon

The Dark or "Balsamic" Moon sometimes gets
a bum rap.
Is it the connection to Bindings,
Banishing's & protective workings?
Is it the aspect of The Goddess as a
Dark Mother that some fear?
All serve their purpose But the Dark Moon IS more.

The Balsamic Moon begins as the smallest sliver
visible to the human eye.
Soon, the moon will be out of sight.
The Dark phase is a cue from Mother Nature.
Go Within. Rest.

Have you ever heard of planting by the moon?
The Dark phase is a time to plant.
Root Vegetables, Tubers..
We plant those things that depend
upon their nourishment
From within Mother Earth.

So it goes with Our dreams, plans, hopes.
During the Dark phase,
We go within.
We listen for the inner guidance,
We plant Our dreams, Our visions
We appear inactive, motionless
But We are planting those dreams
that need nurturing.
Those that we must keep safe,
Cradled within
Until it is their time to sprout.

Sisterhood, Mystery Traditions & Secrecy

I belong to a Sisterhood.
I belong to a Tradition.
The teachings are secret.

There are many Mystery Traditions.
Some originated in Ancient Egypt.
Some, are of African origin, others
from Rome, Greece.

So What is a mystery tradition?
Can it have a singular definition?
The "Traditions" which today are commonly
referred to as Mystery Traditions; are part
school, part Sisterhood (Brotherhood,) or "society".
One must be initiated.
Years of study are involved.
Traditions, Lessons are passed down.
These lessons are passed down orally,
in the name of secrecy.
There is another reason. It is easy to peruse a book,
But to commit to memory is to know.
To truly learn.

Why am I speaking of Mystery traditions?
I've received questions and occasionally
a bit of flack regarding the unwillingness to
share certain things.
Many practicioners today do not
understand the concept of the traditions.

I belong to a Mystery tradition.
So does My Partner.
We belong to different traditions,
houses, cultural backgrounds.
Some things We share.
There are those we shall never.
We revere and respect Our traditions.
The traditions are sacred.
The Inner teachings are sacred. Solemn.
Not to be taken lightly.
And so they remain a mystery.
But the truth IS often hidden in plain sight.
It is hidden in the passages of Myths
Of stories passed down.
It is there for those who seek.

Should we share our traditions?
Our secrets? Our teachings?
For those of us who have taken a vow,
The answer is NO.
We must revere the ancients,
The ones who came before us.
But if One is wise,
They will find they answers they seek.

What's love got to do with it, Or the power of Word

Lately it "seems" there's a bit of a language barrier
within the Spiritual community.
There is a difference between the language
of "Healers" and the language of "Witches".
Bet you're surprised.
I was too. But it exists.

The definition of a Healer puzzles me, I must admit.
You see, I've studied various Healing Arts; which include
Natural Medicine, Aromatherapy, Herbal Medicine & even Reiki.
It's part of My spiritual Path.
I'm a Psychic/Intuitive Reader -
A reader is part counselor, part confidant
If We do our work correctly,
We lead our clients to find their answers,
To heal themselves..
That does not categorize me as a Healer, although I must admit
I prefer not to be categorizied.

I deal with a number of healers through My work.
A few are friends. Some acquaintances and some well,
We tolerate one another.
Tolerate is a very important word in My vernacular.
So here's where another language barrier exists...
Love.
In the Healing realm, everyone loves one another.
You'll find this on blogs, Twitter, Facebook.
You'll see it on cable access shows...
Everyone loves everyone else.

Why then is this an issue?
One Healer in particular, Whom I tolerate &
I'm rather sure She me;
Sent me a message.
In her message She remarks "I love you"
Now She no more has love for me, than I Her.
We are tolerant .
Tolerant of our differences,
Tolerant of whom each of us are
Tolerance IS the stuff of peace.

We will never truly "Love"
Everyone that crosses Our path.
If we are enlightened enough,
We will be tolerant of one another.
Then we will know peace.

Therein lies the difference.
The language Barrier.
As a Witch and a Priestess
Word is power
Word has power
To run around spewing Love, love, love
Without True meaning takes it's power away
Speak to Me NOT of pretty words with empty meanings.
Speak to me of truth
Give power to Word

For those Healers
Perhaps it is their belief that
Saying will make it so...
Perhaps I need to be tolerant of their beliefs
As they Mine

May We learn the Truths of Tolerance,
For then We shall know Peace

It arrives during a void, being overshadowed.

We all find ourselves long on things to do,
but short on time available.

Sabian Symbols

One of my favorite forms of divination is
the use of Sabian Symbols
So just what are they?
The Sabian symbols came to life in 1925,
as an Astrological system.
Marc Edmund Jones, a renown astrologer
spent an afternoon with Medium Elsie Wheeler,
creating the symbols.

His vision was based upon the degrees of the astrological wheel.
Each sign encompasses 30 degrees.
Within these 30 degrees are 3 decans.
These help to individualize the characteristics
or traits of each sign.
30 degrees X 12 signs equal 360 degrees -
The circumference of a circle.

Marc Edmund Jones believed that each degree
carried within it's own message, philosophy.
He believed the ancients knew much more
When they created the systems of astrology we use today.
By enlisting the aid of Elsie Wheeler He hoped to channel
the message for each degree - 360 of them.
They accomplished this feat in 1 afternoon.
Maybe I'm fascinated with the symbols
because they were channeled by a Medium.
Maybe something within the symbols resonates within me...
Whatever it is, This I do know -
The Symbols not only work as an astrological tool,
But as a wonderful form of divination

The Fuss about Astrology

Recently Astrology was in the limelight.
The media reported news of a 13th constellation,
which according to the media, meant a change in an
individuals Sun sign...

By now you should know that your sign has not changed.
You should also be aware of the different systems or practices
of Astrology
Western, which in simplified terms follows the path of the Sun.
Vedic or sidreal is based upon the constellations,
However any changes to the constellations - and this is not the first,
have already been considered.

No matter what system one uses,
Astrology is an art of divination.
